According to Joko Mulyono, Head of Palmerah Sub-district, together with FKPI, they were educating Posyandu cadres on stunting management, starting with data collection on babies under two years (Baduta) and pregnant women with chronic energy deficiencies (Bumil Kek).

"After being recorded, we provide special additional nutritional intake to babies under two years and pregnant women with chronic energy deficiencies every day for the next three months until next March," he expressed, Tuesday (2/7).

He explained that Posyandu cadres were also required to document videos of babies under two years and pregnant women who were given additional nutritional intake.

"Previously, the handling of stunting was limited to education and provision of additional food. However, we don't know whether the additional food given is eaten or not," he uttered.

He added Posyandu cadres along with a team of nutritionists as well as sub-district and urban village health centers also routinely carry out checks to find out the health developments of babies under two years and pregnant women with chronic energy deficiencies.

"Infant examination includes weight and height. Likewise, pregnant women who are pregnant are checked for health, thus the prospective baby is in good health," he added.

He continued that his party had also validated the final data in Palmerah Sub-district, where there were 30 babies under the age of two years and 11 pregnant women with chronic energy deficiencies who were carrying out intervention efforts with related stakeholders.

"We'll intervene in handling stunting for the next three months until next March," he stated.
